Idaho raised vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Joe Mecham incorporates multiple musical genres, and features rich harmonies, dynamic melodies, complex rhythms, and soulful lyricism. This inter-disciplinary, genre crossing style creates a unique and compelling artistic voice steeped in history yet alive with improvisation. His compositions and playing draw from the music of artists like Maria Schneider, Brian Blade Fellowship Band, Norah Jones, Robert Glasper, Morten Lauridsen, and Joni Mitchell. Mecham has toured nationally and internationally as a bassist, pianist, guitarist, vocalist and dancer. His debut album will be released on NEXT in 2021!
